about

BassKase returns with a follow-up to 2019’s “Once Upon A Time In The West”. This album features more head-nodding late-night dubwise tracks sweetened with lush sonic confectionary and tripped out production. Featured performers include Brooklyn-based Yusuke Yamamoto vibes player (Channel U, Chimp Beams) and Canadians Scott Galloway (synths, electric piano) and the mighty Lyle Molzan (drums).

Fans of Jah Wobble, Dub Syndicate, African Head Charge, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tosca and Thievery Corporation will vibe on this release.

As a driving force in projects like Guerilla Welfare, Peabody & Sherman, Marrow Thieves and others, BassKase (aka producer/bassist Curtis Ruptash) has long explored combining dub, funk, rock, downtempo, trip hop, ambient and experimental influences to create unexpected musical canvases.
